    This course includes a study of sets of real numbers, solution of first and second-degree equations, graphing on the coordinate plane, applications of algebra to data analysis and probability, patterns and functions and their applications, measurement and discrete mathematics, and basic mathematical structures. The course content is designed to address, in part, the requirements of the State of Arizona as outlined in the State Mathematics Standard and as assessed by the state assessment testing program.

    High School Math Jumpstart is a three-week, NO CREDIT, course designed to prepare incoming freshmen for Algebra 1-2. During the workshop the facilitator will review essential algebraic concepts from middle school, address individual misconceptions, and introduce key Algebra 1-2 skills and topics. Through guided practice and hands-on activities, the teacher will reinforce learning while fostering a positive, supportive environment to boost students' confidence. In this interactive workshop, students will engage in collaborative problem-solving activities and explore real-world applications of algebraic concepts. By the end of the course, students will not only be well-prepared for Algebra 1-2 but also equipped with the skills to be successful in their high school mathematical journey.
