    Mascot Summer Camp is offered to incoming kindergarteners (MUST turn 5 years old on or before June 1st of the upcoming school year) through outgoing 6th graders. Camp Location - Whispering Wind Academy - 15844 N. 43rd St. Phoenix, AZ 85032 Dates - May 30, 2024 - July 26, 2024. Camp is closed on July 4. Field trips are planned for June 20 and July 10. For scheduled field trips, all staff and children will be off school grounds. If you do not want your child to participate in a field trip, please arrange alternate childcare for that day. Hours - Drop off begins at 6:30 a.m. and pick up must be completed by 6:00 p.m. The last day of Mascot Summer Camp is an early dismissal and will close at 1:00 p.m. Tuition - Registration options include 3 days/week for $185.00 per week and 5 days/week for $245.00 per week. We do not offer a 4-day/week option at this time. For the weeks of May 30 and July 4, the weekly tuition will be prorated accordingly. Registration Deadline - Registering your child is a contract for childcare for a specific program and you will be liable for the contracted cost whether your child attends one day or the maximum number of days. You can register for camp week by week or register for the entire summer all at once! Please note, registration must be received by the noon on Wednesday in order to start the following week. Registrations received after this time may not be accepted. Registration Fees - A non-refundable registration fee of $25 is required at the time of contract approval for Mascot Summer Camp, maximum $50.00 per family per summer. By providing electronic payment information, the registration fee will be processed at the time of contract approval. Invoices and Payment Mascot Summer Camp will be invoiced on a weekly basis on the Monday prior to the scheduled camp week. Invoices will be emailed to the account owner's email address on file. Payment must be received the Friday prior to each week's camp attendance. (example below) For Example: The first week of camp starts May 30. You will get an invoice via email on Monday 5/20 and the payment is due on Friday 5/24 by noon. That invoice will bill for two days. If you want your invoices to be paid automatically, you will need to set up a separate auto pay for Summer Mascot Camp. Payments are NOT accepted at the school site. Past-due accounts will be inactivated, which will lead to suspension of services. Register soon as space is limited! NEW MASCOT FAMILIES ONLY: Current immunization records and both parents' government-issued photo ID must be on file at the PVSchools Community Education office before your contract will be approved. How to Submit Required Immunizations and Photo ID: Submit online by filling out the following Google Form (must be logged in to your Google account): Document Submission Form Email as pdf or image files to community-ed-registrars@pvschools.net. Mail copies to PVSchools Community Education, 15032 N. 32nd St. Phoenix, AZ 85032. RETURNING MASCOT FAMILIES ONLY: If your child attended Mascot during the 2023-24 school year, we will have your documents already on file. There is no need to resubmit.

    This course is designed to expand your child's knowledge of drawing and painting using digital painting software from an animation perspective. They can expect to use digital painting software in almost every Digital Media Arts class. This class will give them all the tools they need to be proficient with drawing, painting, and illustrating on a tablet or laptop. Children can expect to learn brush creation and management inside digital painting software, conceptual background/character design, and techniques to use the different types of brushes they create.   • ATA Tennis

    Grades K-1: This 30 minute class introduces children to the FUN-damentals of tennis, emphasis on forehands and backhands, hand-eye coordination skills, and racquet control skills. Grades 2-4: This 45 minute tennis class introduces FH, BH, serve, volleys and tennis scoring with sportsmanship oriented tennis games. Grades 5-8: This 1 hour tennis class provides instruction on all tennis strokes, footwork, scoring strategy and fun tennis games to reinforce learning. Grades 7-12 (Advanced Beginners): This 1 hour tennis class is for children with some previous tennis instruction and tennis experience.     Beginners and intermediate players in K-5th grade are welcome. Our experienced and positive coaches will instruct children on skills each day as they play flag football, soccer, basketball, baseball, field hockey, kickball and more. It is our belief that keeping sports fun encourages children to stay active while improving self confidence and skills. This is a great camp for making friends, staying fit and enjoying summer break!     This fun and energetic class will provide the opportunity to be creative while learning basic dance skills, cheer chants, and baton twirling skills. It will enhance confidence, coordination, and body movements. A special performance will take place on the last day of class where the students will showcase a dance routine, cheer chants, and baton twirling for the parents. Sneakers must be worn to class.     2024-25 School Year Registration Opens Feb. 21 @ 8:00 AM Please note that all submitted contracts are in a pending status until approved. There are a limited number of spaces available at each site based on licensed capacity and available staff. Programs fill quickly and are staffed to ratio per Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) standards. Once sites reach capacity, your child will be placed on a waitlist. Removal from the waitlist takes place throughout the year as new space becomes available. Trained and caring staff supervise children as they participate in a variety of activities designed to meet their special interests and needs. The program operates Monday through Friday at multiple sites across the district. Morning hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to the start of school. Afternoon hours are from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. Activities are aligned with Arizona Quality Standards for Out-of-School Time Programs and sites are licensed by Arizona Department of Health Services. Transportation to and from each program is the responsibility of the parent. Arizona Department of Health Services regulates PVSchools' Community Education childcare programs. Program Fees for Accepted Contracts Registering your child for any Community Education program is a contract for childcare for a specific program and you are liable for the contracted costs whether your child attends one day, the maximum number of days, or no days at all. If your child is no longer attending, you are responsible for notifying our office and we will withdraw your contract effective at the end of the current month. We do not prorate for a partial month and we do not hold a spot without collecting fees. If you choose to leave your child enrolled without attending, you are required to pay the contracted rates. No credit, refund, or make-up time is offered for absences. Non-School Day Only Mascot Camp Mascot Camp is held on district non-school recess days identified on the district calendar. Families can select individual days that care is needed. Registration will not be accepted after noted deadline dates. Sign up early as space is limited. Staffing for Mascot Camp days is based on enrollment. All cancellations must be requested 2 business days in advance of the Mascot Camp date by 12:00 p.m. Cancellation requests received after the deadline will be billed for the full amount. All contracts submitted for both current and new families are pending until reviewed and approved by a registrar. We will send an email confirmation after your non-school day requests have been approved. Fees are subject to change without notice.
